Terms of Service + Liability Waiver (Events)

Effective date: January 25, 2026 (Last update: May 19, 2026)

These Terms of Service (the ‘Terms’) govern your purchase of tickets and participation in She Commands in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, workshops, webinars, retreats, and related programming (collectively, the ‘Events’), including the She Commands Retreat (the ‘Retreat’), and your use of www.shecommands.ca (the ‘Website’). By purchasing a ticket, registering, attending, accessing, or participating in any Event, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agree to these Terms.”

1) Who we are

“She Commands,” “we,” “us,” or the “Company” refers to She Commands and its owners, employees, contractors, volunteers, representatives, and affiliates.

2) Event tickets, payment, and registration

Event tickets are required unless stated otherwise. Your registration is not confirmed until payment is successfully processed and you receive a confirmation email.

3) Refunds and cancellations (event registrations purchased on www.shecommands.ca)

— If we cancel the event, you will receive a full refund.

— If you cancel more than 14 days before the event: full refund.

— If you cancel 14 days to 5 days before the event: 75% refund.

— If you cancel less than 5 days before the event: no cash refund; your payment will be applied as a credit toward a future She Commands event.

We may set reasonable limits on credit use (such as an expiry window and whether it is transferable) and will communicate those terms to you at the time the credit is issued.

Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method. Processing times vary by payment provider and your financial institution.

4) Participant conduct (and removal)

For virtual Events, you are responsible for ensuring you have adequate internet access, a compatible device, and a setting appropriate to your desired level of privacy and participation. Access links are personal to the registered participant and may not be copied, shared, transferred, or posted publicly. We may modify the platform, schedule, speaker lineup, or format of a virtual Event where reasonably necessary due to technical, operational, safety, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

You agree to act respectfully and responsibly at all times. We may refuse entry or remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, harassing, threatening, or otherwise interferes with the experience or safety of others. If you are removed for cause, you will not receive a refund.

5) Health, fitness, and personal responsibility

You are responsible for determining whether participation is appropriate for your health and fitness level. You confirm you are in suitable physical and mental condition to participate and that you will seek medical advice from a physician if needed. You understand that She Commands does not provide medical advice and that participation is voluntary and at your own risk.

6) Assumption of risk

You acknowledge that events may include physical movement, outdoor experiences, travel to/from the location, and other interactive components that carry inherent risks (including injury, illness, emotional distress, property loss, or other harm). You voluntarily assume all known and unknown risks associated with attending, participating in, or traveling to and from the event.

For virtual Events, you acknowledge additional risks including internet or platform interruptions, audiovisual failure, unauthorized viewing by others in your environment, display of your name or image if you choose to enable camera or chat features, and emotional discomfort that may arise from coaching, discussion, or interactive participation.

7) Release of liability and waiver (important)

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and agree to hold harmless She Commands from any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your participation in the event, including claims based on alleged negligence, except where such release is prohibited by law.

This release applies to you and your heirs, executors, administrators, and personal representatives.

8) Property and personal belongings

You are responsible for your personal belongings. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.

9) Media release (photo/video)

You grant She Commands permission to photograph, record, and capture your image, likeness, and voice during the event. You authorize us to use these materials without compensation for promotional, marketing, educational, and archival purposes in any media now known or later developed.

You understand that recorded content may be shared, in whole or in part, with She Commands members, clients or community participants. If you do not wish to be featured in promotional materials, you must notify She Commands at boss@shecommands.ca at least 48 hours before the event. We will make reasonable efforts to respect your preference, but cannot guarantee that you will not be incidentally captured in live or recorded event content. While She Commands may establish rules regarding attendee privacy and recording, we are not responsible for the acts or omissions of other attendees.

10) Travel, weather, and force majeure

We are not responsible for travel interruptions, weather conditions, venue issues, public health restrictions, or other events beyond our reasonable control (“force majeure”). If force majeure affects the event, we may reschedule, modify, relocate, or cancel. Your remedies (if any) will be handled according to our Refund Policy or as otherwise required by law.

11) Intellectual property

All materials provided by She Commands (including presentations, worksheets, guides, branding and recordings) are owned by She Commands or its licensors and are for personal, non-commercial use only unless we state otherwise. You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, publish or share derivative works from our materials, events or recordings without our prior written permission.

12) Disclaimers (expectations and results)

We aim to deliver a high-quality experience, but individual outcomes vary. We do not guarantee specific results from attending an event. Except as required by law, the Website and events are provided “as is” and “as available.”

13) Privacy

We may use third-party service providers and platforms to process registration information, deliver virtual Events, host replay content, process payments, manage memberships, and send communications. Personal information and recordings will be collected, used, disclosed, stored, and retained in accordance with the purposes described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Your use of the Website and your registration information are handled according to our Privacy Policy. Please review it for details on how we collect and use personal information.

14) Governing law (Ontario) and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada. You agree that any disputes will be brought in the courts located in Ontario, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

15) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Effective date” at the top indicates when the latest version applies. Changes will apply going forward and will not retroactively reduce your rights for registrations already purchased, except as required to comply with law or to address security/fraud concerns.
